Our vision.

Our Euclid Ave is East Cleveland's plan to rebuild and reimagine Euclid Avenue through community collaboration. Backed by a $10 million State of Ohio investment, the plan will set priorities for safer streets, better transit stops, new businesses and homes, and modern infrastructure along the city's main street.

Project area.

The project looks at the whole stretch of Euclid Avenue in East Cleveland, shown on the map, including the street and the properties along it.

Euclid Avenue is East Cleveland’s main street. It runs about 2.5 miles through the heart of the city, from the Cleveland border near University Circle to the city’s eastern edge.

City Hall, the public library and Shaw High School all sit along the avenue, alongside local shops, homes, and businesses. It’s a place to run errands, go to work, grab a bite and see friends.

Getting here is easy. The HealthLine runs along Euclid Avenue to Windermere Station, and the Red Line train stops at the Superior and Windermere stations. That puts the avenue a short ride from University Circle, downtown Cleveland and jobs across the region.

Project priorities.

  1. Rebuild the street once, with modern utilities and technology built in.

  2. Make it safer and easier to walk, bike, and reach the HealthLine.

  3. Connect neighborhoods to jobs, University Circle, and each other.

  4. Bring new life to vacant and underused properties along the corridor.
